Our Medical Coordinators are graduate and undergraduate students from St. Joe’s University serving on a rotational basis. They lead our weekly wound clinics every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., providing compassionate care and attention to those in need. In addition, they help organize our monthly medical clinics, where doctors volunteering with the Institute of Clinical Bioethics and personnel come together to address a wide range of medical needs and referrals. Their commitment and expertise ensure that our community has access to vital health support right here at Mother of Mercy House.

"We put the Jesuit values into practice with everyone we interact with in Kensington. Our motto is “Cura Personalis” which means “care for the whole person” by providing both medical and social services to our brothers and sisters in the neighborhood. We treat everyone in our clinic with the upmost respect and hope everyone can leave feeling seen and treated." —Ean & Shayne, our clinic coordinators along with Amanda, research specialist

We are deeply grateful and proud of our ongoing partnership with Mural Arts Philadelphia. Their support reaches across many areas of our work—providing an art teacher for our summer camp to introduce our kids to fine art drawing, as well as transforming our building through vibrant murals that reflect the heart of our community.

Most recently, we celebrated Garden Wall Tessera (2025), a mural by artist Mat Tomezsko created with the Color Me Back: Same Day Work and Pay Program. With the hands and hearts of our community, it captures the abundance, beauty, and dreams of our Kensington neighbors. From citrus and orchids to avocados and peppers, the mural reflects the spirit of the Caribbean, South and Central America, and the vibrant cultures that call Kensington home.

Each detail tells a story of resilience and gratitude, symbolizing the nourishment and support Mother of Mercy House offers through our weekly pantry. We thank all the artists, neighbors, and partners who made this mural possible.
